Hi all My Galaxy will not demist even with the air con on full, the longer the trip the worse it gets. The back is worse than the front but still gets very bad. Anyone got any ideas on whats wrong and or how to fix it??

Hi This is our first post. We have a Ford Galaxy 1.9tdi 130ps. (54) Over the last few months it has lost power accelerating and at 3000 rpm the engine has a distinct rattling sound. We have had it on a diognistic computer that came up with nothing. But the mechanic suggested it was the Mass Airflow Sensor??? We then took the car to a diesel specialist, they once again connected it to a computer. This showed an error code 65535 this was in the instrument cluster fault, and not anything else. The computer also showed that the engine was supposed to be pulling 890 (not sure what) but was only pulling 530. they then swapped the MAF but this had no effect on the reading. fuel consumption has gone down to about 30MPG (it has never been brilliant) Can anyone shed any light on this problem??? The last thing we want to do is to take it to a main dealer and let them experiment at our expense. Paul & Sue
