Had this on my 2001 Tdi recently, amber light coming on all the time, changed the oil pressure switch on the filter housing, light came on amber then went to red, took the car back to the garage and they took it to Ford who disconnected the battery for a few hours, now fine (on that fault anyway) Hope it helps? The oil warning light has come on, oil level is fine, engine noise in no different so i think the switch is faulty or i have another wiring problem, what puzzles me is the light came on as i was driving and now will illuminate with the usual beep when i turn the ignition on but before i start the engine, is it the pressure switch mounted to the filter housing i need to look at?
