I had the same problem. To save money, you could do the job yourself. I did 15months ago and they still look ok and i'm no spray painter. Its quite easy and rewarding. Remember to let each coat dry before applying the next. The inner wheel cover ( see the last post piture). Ensure that the FORD GALAXY logo is well covered. One last thing, remove grease from alloy before spraying and mask of the tyre. Good luck. Forgot to add, for the bad scuffs, use filler. Dont use too much though. Then rub done with fine wet and dry

I am also having the same problem on my 2001 1.9 TDI GHIA. Can anybody help with the diagnostics?
