I have the factory fitted 2007RDS head unit with a 6 CD multichanger. I constantly get an error message of CHECK DISCS whenever I try to play a CD. This has been happening for such a long time, and I now want to do something about it. I took it to a Ford Garage - no help at all. I took it to local Car Radio shop - only tried to sell me a whole package. I do not want to change the head unit unless I really have to. Is it too simple to assume I can just plug in a new compatible multichanger? I know nothing about In Car Entertainment and have no 'man about the house' to do these things for me. I would be grateful for any advice.
