  1. OK. So the shop says I have to change the engine... Can I take any other V6 engine and fit it in my car? I mean, would an engine that use to be connected with an automatic gearbox fit to my 6 speed manual? Can I take an engine from any VW V6? My current engine is a 2004. Which year should the new (used) engine be?

Probably not but if you run out mid way through then you will contaminate old and new while it sits waiting for you to walk to to the shops and back, brake fluid is quite cheap - you are saving on the labour, dont skimp on the fluid :wacko: Final tip, remember brake fluid is corrosive - avoid getting it on your paintwork at all costs!
