Mad Baz, you are an absolute star. I managed to find and replace the crankshaft sensor on my wife's Focus yesterday using your nifty little diagram and it started first time. Mind you, the sensor was shot to pieces - the second she's had installed in a few years. Much appreciated. Thanks.

If an AA man told you that the reason for your Focus 2.0l 16v running out of power after approx 30miles of motorway driving and not restarting was down to the cam/crankshaft sensor - does that sound reasonably accurate? We've been through this before and it was cured when that part was replaced.

Sorry, just replying to myself - i have about 15 minutes to resolve the non-starter.

My wifey owns a Focus 2.0l 16v. Currently not running, hence my joining forum to see if I can find solution. I too suffered the same problem of not being able to open what could be a very useful diagram of where to find the cam/crankshaft sensor, so please excuse me while I make a few inane posts to be able to open that jpeg. My own motor is a Freelander - so I won't bore you. But I have found user forums to be invaluable with help on mine.
