I got to agree mo4 that really does look rough for 75 quid  , for a start that broken casing over the coiling could cause problems, try to get a refund if possible .

I know this sounds silly and am being serious for the moment , you are using proper shop bought cd's and not home made copies or mp3's burnt to cd by computer are you ? ( although my cd player ( ford ) plays home burnt discs but not mp3 discs.

Hi all, Has anybody got any idea how you lift the front seat and frame up off the floor high enough to get in the under floor pockets? I know i used to get in them with no problem but even with pulling both side levers on front seats ( and the seats do rise ) the frames are still on the floor so i cant lift the lids . Any ideas? thanks in advance chaps

Hi mate, I had this problem ( along with loads of other members here ) The answer for me was to jack the front of the car up then remove the plastic lining from under the wing, then on the bulkhead you will see some oblong plastic grills , these pop out ,,, pop them off, ( one on each side ) and remove any crap from the inside of the holes ,, open bonnet and with watering can , pour water on windscreen and watch if it now comes out of the holes, if it does , replace plastic wheel linings ( dont replace plastic grill ) hopefully problem solved ,

toneinblack replied to a topic in Dealer Service and Reliability (Galaxy)
My ghia has the special tool but its the 2 pronged version ( u shaped piece of coathanger type wire ) and on my ghia wheels it has a small grove that i just slide the tool in and lever it off , I must have earlier ghia wheels as i dont have any allen key type slots on it. -
Would it be worth leaving the drain plug out and getting a few mates to push the car down the street and over some bumps in the hope that it falls out?

Another Brake Question.
toneinblack replied to toneinblack's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
the pads wernt badly grooved but worn around the edge , do you have to bleed the brakes with the engine running or turned off? -
Hi all, after finally replacing my front brake pads ( undone the cap of brake resevoir , couldnt undo the bleed valves ) replaced both sides of the brake pads , put it all back together and now have a spongey brake pedal, ( pedal sinking quite far ) would bleeding cure it or have i done something i shouldnt have? lol thanks all

Brake Fluid Resevoir,
toneinblack replied to toneinblack's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
jeeeeez, Ive managed to spot the yellow screw top by peering through the pipes and other bits and pieces under the scuttle panel and with some luck , I squeezed my rather fat hand in and managed to unscrew the cap, why did they make it so awkward to reach ? thanks for help all :-) -
Hi all, need to undo the top on my my brake fluid resevoir but cant find ( get to it ) it, Its the 2.8 v6 and isnt covered in the haynes manual, and am guessing its to the left and rear of engine bay but i just have a plastic box with a few pipes coming off it , any ideas? thanks all.

Battery Not Holding It's Charge
toneinblack replied to greg_68's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
my parents had a problem like this and bought a new battery , only for it to keep going flat on them , anyway they got the rac out to jump start them and the rac man done all the checks and he found an interior light was left on all the time and they hadnt noticed , might be worth checking the interior lights ( glove box, door bottoms, rear luggage space etc ) are all switching off . -
Front Brake Pads ,
toneinblack replied to toneinblack's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Thanks for the replies , just got in from work, there has been a grinding noise for the last couple of days , hopefully it isnt discs as well as pads but will have a good look when i do it tomorrrow , ( fingers crossed ) tone. -
Hi all, Just started to get the grinding noise coming from front brakes when using brakes and will dig out the haynes manual and replace the front pads but will i run into any problems or are they pretty straight forward? ( i did use the search box but it seems down atm) thanks all, :D
