looks like somebody as put the old galaxy is back on the road taxed till june 2013 and also insured :)

hi all sold the the galaxy back in october 2011 after 3 years of happy motoring and while having a couple hours to spare had a look if it was still on the road. after veiwing a couple of sites it turns out there no insurence on it and all so veichle identity check on it was sold in the bury st edmonds area in cambridge...to a main dealer ad 03 djj gold colour 2.3 ghia just wondering if any friends or family brought the car or know of somebody just curisous in whats happend.....

478 aviva just me (38) and the old lady(75) 13 years no claims no kids only got this as her knees are kaput at the minute they are giving away 3 months for nothing so only paying for 9 that was the cheapest i got other wise stupid prices coming in

i had the dreaded water in the foot well at the weekend turned out the water pipe for rear washer had come apart 5 min fix 4 days drying the bloody carpet out.... :unsure:

Don't worry stick spare behind back seat for mot for know. don't know about clicks on a hoist thingy though pasted the mot 2day flying colours just back 2 indicator bulbs wanted changing as they had faded had a nother luck at spare wheel carrier undone it and pulled at same time and bingo all working again proberley my fault in first place as changing spare to put alloy back on when tipping down of rain not very good idea :D silly me

its happened lowered the spare wheel down last nite due to a inch long strip of metal right on the edge of the tyre new tyre required sorted that out today come to put the wheel back tonight and can only lower the wire down 6 inches be fore it starts clicking will not come any more but will wynd up ok is the hoist kaput or is there anything i can do with it hope things dont go in 3s as its mot day tomorrow.. :lol:

can anybody help all of a sudden the gal as delveloped a rattle seems by front pass door to windscreen seems like a hard plastic taken thing out of glove box as well as door bin in case scuttle panal outside winscreen clips not as tight as would like but as need new ones so could be a problem,is there any other things that might be the problem even with radio on still drivivg me up the wall :huh:

thats what me and my sister said,having valated many gals over the years from the mk1 to the latest ones i have never came across it :) but in pratice a good idea as many cars would stil be open,having opened it in your pocket and never noticed :) thats put my mind at rest now cheers phil

while walking to the car late sat night i pressed the key fob to open the doors while talking at the same time car indicators flashed to say car locked dident think much of it as i have other keys on there, so opened car again while still chatting away minute later same happened again we both turned and looked at each other so opened again and held my finger out and put keys on finger so cant touch others and happened again, but if i open any doors nothing happens is this the start of something going wrong or is it a security thing. never noticed it all the time i have owned the car for the last 18 months the car is a 03 reg 2.3 petrol ghia. :)

got the same problem what best way to un jam can you unscrew the holder or something to fetch it out to clean. :o can unjam if stick a knife under but push back in back to square 1 :(

i have pulled the lead off the changer and waited but not off the head unit, the radio works fine i have code in audio book , dont think changer broke as i had the same problem when i brought it from ford garage as i have said as i off work wed thurs will give it a go.one of my mates at work is going to lend me his tester to see if any power is coming down the loom. update about cd changer finaly got around to doing it this week so unconncted it start of week left it off and connected this afternoon and bingo all working by looks of it, seems both units are back in love together :)

have you tried looking were the jack is kept as mine is clip on the jack with all the tools

sorted my ins out for the gal today got it down to

There is a seperate fuse for the changer - its part of the changers loom. I can't remember if its on the back of the headunit or the changer but its 3amp IIRC while at work took out head unit and put new fuse in and still dead so now considering 2 ideas 1 replace the 5000 tape unit and put the 6000 cd unit in(would this work with cd changer) 2 ask the person we deal with at work who fixes all the car radios we send to him...

ejected the cartridge this morning so i could play a new cd inserted it the right way in within the space of two mins its gone awol all i got on head unit is cd1 pressed the other 5 numbers and still nothing un clipped the lead on side (what others have said) and waited no good it wont load the cds to play like no power getting to it anybody with any more ideas its the 5000 system ;)

off work wednesday/thursday so willsee what i can sort out usally get a few print outs that are cheaper than current take to the broker and tell to match not done to bad over the last 5 years got 120 quid off the 1 year when had the vectra sri v6 so here goes play them at there own game :25: got till 2 march so will let you know what happens.

as i work for a large second hand car company not going to say any names as proberley quite a few have had dealing with them and dont want any greaf :( but anyway a customer brought the new shape gal mk3 boy what a big dissapointment while i was valating it i said to my self no way would i change my mk2 for this shape any body larger than a small child would be sitting on metal hinges on the back 2 seats,seats seem clumsey to fold up/down and also got the feeling that it smaller inside as well +not sitting as high up as well no spare wheel only can of foam as standed by looks of it and as for changing the battery my mate said you have to take the air box off just to get it out.as for the cubbyholes in the floor at least ford could of done a better job than that by just putting a lid on (could of made it fasten shut) verdict wouldent swap my mk2 anyday of the week ;)
