so in theory you could disable your air con, go to kwikfit for a free regas then once back home enable the air con again??

I suppose you could convert a bench seat to fit the rear most seat mounts, but i personaly would not feel too happy knowing my cherished offspring was sitting in adapted seats.

And im sure your insurance company wouldnt take too kindly to the idea, as well as falling foul of numerous rules and regs.

drivers side bottom edge of lower dash just run your fingers along you will find it

if your never going to use the air con why not source a shorter belt and by pass the compressor?

yes they are there just have to cut the carpet to expose them.

I have a 2003 galaxy just purchase and i notice that where the automatic gear selection cover the brushes or rubber that stop dust getting in past the handle is misssing so just a large gaping hole so anything can drop into the part where gear lever goes through the cover. usually there is rubber or brushes but mine is misssing, any ideas where i can get one from and how easy is it to install.

 

I think ebay will be the best place to try, message one of the people breaking a mk2 auto,

okay just had the thing recharged. Goes to a lovely cool temperature :). but then the compressor stops. It has a mind of its own. Sometimes it will come on sometimes not. When it does the system works fine. Any ideas?? The air con switch light always stays on.

 

Perhaps there is something wrong with the compressor clutch not engaging properly??

Hi all, can anyone tell me me whether the oil filter for an 05 plate 2.3 auto is a spin on cartridge or paper filter?

 

Also, how do you get access to it - presuming from underneath with the undertray removed?

hi ive got a ford galaxy with the 6000 cd that has broken , is there a ford car radio that will fit with no messing about , id like a mp3 player to fit if poss , mines a 6 speaker system

most ford 6000 cd will fit however they all have rounded corners, where as the galaxy type is squared :blush:

you need an ELM obd11 lead, can down load the software off the net for free :blush:

not sure about the brackets, but i know you will need larger callipers and at least 16" wheels to clear the larger callipers.

I also have the same problem but on the passenger door. I've unscrewed the mirror but don't know how to disconnect the lead. I have a new mirror to put on.

you have to remove the door card to access the cable connector located top right hand corner, i think there is a 'how to' somewhere, you will prob need some new trim panel clip for the refit as they often break.

carefully prise out the black bump strip then pop out the sensor from there

reverse flush with a hose and water for about 10 mins should do it.

ebay would be your best bet, try emailing someone who is breaking a gal with parking sensors.

I have a tiptronic auto, never used it - well only to try it out

 

I dont see the need for it myself, but thats me , i have had my MKII for 4 years and never needed it

 

same here! i have used the tiptronic maybe a couple of times just to show people, quite happy to just leave it in drive to be honest

think ford prices are high? a friend drives a renault grand scenic or something, the keycard was playing up cost
