  1. The position of the 2 stupidly small horn buttons by the side of the drivers airbag on the steering wheel irritates me and is also a cause for real safety concerns. Everything is Ok if you are going in a straight line - but try and find the horn when going round a roundabout or carrying our emergency evasive steering 9/10 you'll miss them completely unless you actually look down taking your eyes of the road to try and find get a visual on the buttons. If its dark then then looking down won't help you either unless you've put luminous stickers on the buttons. I have been unable to find the horn when I really needed it so many times and I consider this to be a real design flaw with safety implications that I am seriously considering changing brand!
  2. Cruise control on my 2002 2.3 Ghia never worked from new. Took it to dealer and they diagnosed a faulty sensor on the clutch pedal which they said they fixed. :( They hadn't fixed it and it didn't work. :( However, knowing that it was a faulty clutch sensor I soon figured out that if I hooked my left foot under the clutch pedal and pull it up as far as it will go, it would close the sensor and I could engage cruise! If I don't do this then the car thinks the clutch is depressed (physically not mentally) and refuses to engage cruise control. But at least I know how to get it to work now. As for getting it fixed, I really can't be bothered! My advise to anyone experiencing intermittant cruise control engageability (sp?) is to try pulling your clutch and brake pedal up with your toe!
