  1. OK - fixed it. Looks like the pressure of the jammed blades worked the retaining nut loose. Removed cowl, retightened wiper motor nut and it all works.
  2. My wipers happened to jam together and the motor seems to have lost its 'connection' to the blades mechanism. The wiper blade control mechanism (ball joints etc) are all brand new. Is there a sheer pin or something that connects the motor shaft to the wiper blade mecanism? I know the motor is fine because I can hear it wirring when I flick the switch?? Thanks in advance
  3. Had my wiper mechanism replaced at a local 'garage'. Since then full of water in passenger side. To dry this properly you'll need to cut the 1.5" of soundproofing out from under the fitted carpet (this will never dry out on its own, it holds a massive amount of water). I re-newed the long rubber seal that fits under the wiper tray (that's the tray you have to remove to get at the wiper mechanism and the pollen filter, held in by three bolts). Fords couldn't find this on their parts database so I bought one from Seat for
  4. I have a 96 Galaxy and Second Gear crunches both up and down from time to time. Cold weather seems to make it worse. Sometimes when I depress the clutch (fully) it seems that the gear lever pushes against an obstacle of some sort, other times it just clicks in smoothly! Either way, as you make the change you are never really confident that it is fully engaged. Fords say that because it's intermittent they will just charge their full
