  3. Thanks for all i'll try to buy it. some other name of software that i can buy to have a complete vision of my car (galaxy 2.3 ghia petrol 1998)instead of the freeware software that the cable includes? Bye Paolo
  4. VAG-COM will only communicate with the SRS airbag system. For everything else, including the engine, you need a EOBD/OBDII type interface. I use a generic ELM327 based cable and the ScanTool software... works with most non-VAG vehicles from 2001 onwards. Pre-2001 vehicles may not be fully OBDII compliant, and some functions may not be available. It works on my 1999 model, I would think it should on yours too - however, as there were some major changes to the electrical systems for 99-on models, I cannot be 100% certain. If anything will work, it's an OBDII interface. Thanks, Where i can find the ScanTool Software (which is the correct name) and where i can buy the OBDII cable? Have you some links on internet (site, ebay)? Paolo
  5. Hy, Which kind of cable and of software i have to find, please? thanks Paolo
