Hi, i have a 98 19 tdi,sounds same, ive had the mass thing changed,no faults shown up on test,both ford dealer and diesel specialist found nothing-however-did find out most prob cause- the turbo get's clogged, cost around 600-700 pound to fix.Hope this helpfull- regards-Andy.
