Hi all on inspecting under the hood this morning i have found the 1 rubber mounts for the engine cover were snapped and o/s/t engine mount loose (tighten and replaced both) now the question ? the insulation under the top engine cover is shot and you can not buy it seperate ( fraud

Hi all i need some guidance and advice i have just replaced all the leak off pipes due to 2 of them were leaking must have been for a while . Now i have got a oil leak that seems to be coming from the crank case breather pipe the diesel leak was going straight down and over the seal so i guessing it have perished due the diesel is it a straight forward as it looks to change the seal or is there something i should watch out for. Thanks all for the good advice had a closer look today the sleeves are rotted and and fell to the bottom and she very bouncy at the back my gal has been abused over the years sometime i think it's a transit (but looks agood as the day she rolled off the line ) so it's new shocks not frauds and spring assisters + cups ( thanks mike ) Again Thanks all Tom

Finally got round to putting 10 k turbo boost down the throat of my gal { asked the missus to press the acceleator pedle for me " How do i do that " <_< she' been driving for 20 yrs god help me . a lot of white smoke (her face was a picture) took it for a drive no turbo lag and a lot lot more responsive even when loaded with 2 x 3 seated couches (just love my Gal) . if guess he used "10k boost power restorer" :unsure: The reason why ia ask is i have noticed my turbo is running a bit slugish of late . how easy/hard is it to apply ? is it possible to run thorugh the process as i'am ok with basics other wise it go's in the local garage Thanks

hi sparky springs are fine so going to replace shocks . top mounts and drop links this wk end it should fix the problem hopefully

hi sparky paul the tyers feel as if they are grouding out on the rims as for the suspenion it seems to dip more than normal

I think my gal is starting to feel her age ( 98 , 75k ) the problem is when driving at 55 to 70 it feels like the front tyers are deflated checked presure all spot on also theres a knocking noise o/s/f top which i think is the top mounts bearing. Now is it the shocks and drop link bars or something more serious ^_^

Hi all the cold weather here gets in my gal and both clutch and brake peddle are both frozen solid any ideas by the way it was - 10 last nite this is the first time it has ever happen :unsure:. should i just wait and let it defrost or is a bit problem

Here we go again rains here sunroof started leaking again replaced it 2 yr ago second hand so whent to frauds to price a new seal <_< told they only come as a complete unit and that 400 quid thank you (cheaper to put a new roof on the garage) is it possible to replace the seal

I've recently noticed a distinct rattle coming from the engine area on start up of a cold engine.( 1998 tdi 75 k )so put it for a service sill there all belts and tentioners changed last year.

Thank Seakid it's not the air con :D .it looks and sounds like brake servo seal ;) getting it checked out in the morning .there go's my weekend away <_< shall let you know

Hi all over the last week i've had a rattle when labouring but now there is a hissing noise coming from the back of the R/S engine you only notice it when you turn it off it only dose it 3 or 4 time then stops . water and oil check out turbo work's ok no loss of power ;)
