Hi All I hope someone can help me. I have a 53 plate Galaxy, the other day i need to step on the brakes a bit sharply, then when i accelerated again there was a loud crack from the underneath of the drivers seat and now the seat tips back and forward. On inspection i can see that the two brackets that hold the seat to the runners have broken their welds, i can see that these mounting brackets could be removed and i was wondering if anyone knows where i can buy new brackets from or will i have to get the old ones welded? A big thank you to Mumof4/Maz for starting this thread and to all that helped with this problem. The wipers on my 53 plate galaxy decided to stop working and with the help of this tread I stripped it all out, cleaned, hammered, heated and greased before re-fitting, all working great, took about 2 hrs, I stripped the attery out and the plastic divered that the expansion tank bolts to, made life easier for me. Then as i had all the tools out, i then tackled our 1999 Golf Gti which had developed the same problem another 2hrs and all working. Thanks again to everyone Eifion
