  2. Hi folks , wondering if anyone has had the same issue or could shed any light on this : Just got the Galaxy back on the road (1998 2.3 auto) and after 3 weeks of driving the auto box has gone into limp mode... Able to select Reverse , drive , 3 , 2 and one however 2 and 3 and drive both seem to pull exactly the same and feels as if there is no difference in the ratio . Also kick down does not seem to work at all in drive. Obd reader came back with p0135 code which i believe is a faulty o2 sensor ... could this affect the auto box , unfortunately I dont have a vagcom reader but i am going to purchase one on ebay ..... All wiring and connector blocks checked and seem to be fine , as do any earth leads.... , there are also no leaks around the autobox itself or its sump ... Any help appreciated , thanks in advance.
  3. I have a mark1 2.3 auto... mine is deffinately behind the passenger side indicator.... you may need a torch to see in but onece you remove the indicator, you should see it fixed to the inner wing by i think two rubber grommets . i have never heard of them being in any other place........or possibly someone has removed it....which could be why its not working..lol
  4. Hey people , looking for a few ideas because i've currently run out of my own lol... Ok so ive got a 98 2.3 Auto and since i've had it the cruise control has never worked I have so far : Checked all hoses:- hose that connects to the pump was perished but have replaced this, all others were intact. Checked pump functionality: Hot wired the pump which looks as clean as new inside and this worked fine and provided decent suction. Checked brake switch functionality: Working fine.... Checked Stalk switch connection and wires. : reading on another forum i noticed a post where someone had the 2 wires broken where the wires exit the stalk down to the connector on the steering colum . 2 of my wires were showing signs of breaking up and i thought this was the answer... but removed the slider swith top and outer sheath on the stalk and tested all 6 wires from the switch itself to the other side of the connecter on the steering colum ... the'se were all fine... now i'm at a loss... oh also checked under the radio, the silver box that i remember some people talking about all connections seem to be good there... Help????
