Hi All Thanks for your help with my 97 2.3 petrol galaxy the ac swithch was on as soon as i turned it off and put a new fuse in the indicators worked toldmy wife to run around in it today but not to use ac unfortunatley i had another sos from her , smoke bellowing out from under dash i am not very popular as she had our 2 wk old and 1yr old sons in the car what else can go wrongany ideas where the smoke may have come from will be greatfully recieved. i will lok behind centre consol 1st to see if it is ac wire. thanksagain steve

Hi All I know i sent an email ref my mk1 2.3 petrol galaxy a few days ago ref fuse 3 blowing and indicators not working. i have tried my parking lights and ythey do appear to work fine, what bothers me is in the operators manual they say fuse 3 which is 5 amp is number plate lights but they work fine, and in the haynes book of fairy tales it says fuse 3 is for ABS module. All seem to work any other ideas!!! thanks steve

Hi All My 97 2.3petrol galaxy had a starting problem when i bought it but ran perfectly until i picked up my wife and new baby from hospital at 23.30 and it didnt want to start the red led on drivers door was going mad but car started with a push. then ran ok for a week and then completly imobilised itself RAC man said it was tranceiver coil on ignition switch. and recovered car home. i Popped in to our local ford garage to buy a tranceiver coil but it was wrong one the chap who is there electrics expert said he had never had to change one before and is normally a relay with 30 stamped on it so i checked and changed it and hey presto car is sorted thanks to the electric wiz at Taw Ford . Hi All My 97 2.3petrol galaxy has thrown me another indicator problem the previous was due to water underpassenger seat , it has been fine since i sorted that out now fuse nos 3 has blown which only seems to supply ABS module but the wire from fuse cannot be found on the module. The meter is telling me that there is a dead short. But why the hell is the ABSmodule fuse affecting the indicators. If i put the fuse in and operate the indicator it blows, cant make any sece of it at all has anyone come across this problem or have any suggestions. thanks steve ps ABS still works ok with blown fuse??????????

looked through to about page 140 and couldnt find anything relative any other ideas thanks steve

Hi all i havea 97 2.3 galaxy and my wipers wont park 1 always stops about 4 inches higher than the lowest one if i push it down by hand it stays there any ideas please thanks steve

HELP!!!!!! I have just bought a 1997 2.3 GLX Galaxy and i am having some probs the 1st which i have now sorted was drivers window would not go down and passenger window would go down but not up using drivers door switches, i found a broken wire in door to a frame boot. Having fixed that i have no indicators , but i have hazard lights, and with key out ignition and indicator stalk either in left or right position my side lights on the relevant side are on but go off if stalk is in off position. need help urgently as new baby will be here Friday Thanks Steve
