  1. Vagcom or similar would help in at least identifying that it is indeed the OS front sensor. Also it would then allow you to swap the sensor with another and see if the fault followed the sensor or stayed with the wheel. It is also extremely handy in identifying other faults and issues and worth having at the price. Thanks to all who have replied, my son is due to pop up Monday or Tues to have a look , he isborrowing a laptop and VagCom from work, so we will see what happens, will keep you all posted. Thaks Steve
  2. I take it by "no expert" you mean at typing :( However I am inclined to think that you are correct and perhaps the wrong sensor has been changed. Bigmac.....are you sure the sensor was faulty ? Hi, the abs ring on the cv joint had broken and damaged the sensor, so replaced the cv with a new one and the sensor. OS fornt, NS seems fine with no movement.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, what sort of code reader do I need and will it clear the fault codes ?
  4. Thanks for the response, the connector feels like it is pushed in correctly, drove the car up to 30mph, light still on, just paid
