Hi , Has anyone fitted a K n N Filter to there Mk 1 (1999) Galaxy or are they not worth the bother ? would be interesting to know as I need to replace my filter and thought about my taking the whole air box off and replace it with a K/N induction kit or a panel filter ,any thoughts people? Cheers .

Hi All ,We have a 1999 Ghia X for a couple of weeks the passenger side rear electric window has stopped working ,just now I went to move the car in the drive and the window went a bit ape! it started moving up and down not far about 2"all by its self ,no switches were touched , but it has stopped with a 2" gap at the top of the window (in the open position). I have gone too each switch in turn , on the dash and in the door and there is no life at all . Can anybody help so as I can at least get the window closed . Cheers.

Hi All , Well I have been away awhile but we now have another Galaxy in the family as of yesterday it is a black Ghia X on a T plate ,it has a couple of issues to put right , 1 Drivers side indicator clear lense 2 CD player magazine (The bit you put the CDs in) 3 2 Speakers for the 2 rear passenger doors 4 The plastic trim on the very bottom of the front bumper ( comes in 2 halfs) So can you tell me if there is a scrap yard somewhere that does Galaxy parts not just for these bits but for future parts . When we arrived to see the car the first thing I saw was the GHIA X badges on the front wings so the fact that it might not be one went straight out of my head after that , so I suppose it is my fault for not checking the paper work more closely and another thing I would do next time is leave the kids (2 and 5 years old) with someone in the family as they were a big distraction on the day , its not there fault but it did not help matters . The wife is more than happy with it so I suppose thats the important thing. I have also bought and sold a lot of cars over the years without any problems so I suppose its just my turn to get rolled over anyway it could worse it could be the wrong chassis number or something . Well ,I have been into Ford dealership this morning and it looks like we have been done over as the Galaxy we have bought is a Ghia not a Ghia X ,as the car was bought privately have we any chance of getting anything back ?? I also noticed the people we bought it off bought the car from a company called "just diesels" and they sold it as a Ghia NOT a Ghia X so the owner we got it off sold it as a Ghia X so its him who has been abit naughty. Any ideas where we can go from here??

Here we go this what we have in our "Ghia X". Six electric windows (including the rear compartment) Climate control Some lovely fake wood Cover for boot area Swivelling front seats Computer (MPG,FUEL RANGE,ETC.....) Cruise control large alloys Privacy glass Lots of interior lighting.........think thats it. Now what we dont have. Heated seats Vents in roof for a/c Electric seats.

Yep turned off A/C and the fans stopped now to see when the fan comes on when the engine is really hot . Thanks gain for the help and tips.

It does have Ghia X badges on the front wings and some big alloys on ,the car was bought privately but I really dont think the people who sold it were trying it on as they were very genuine people. I think I will go along to a dealer and see what they say.

Thanks for the useful replies now for the silly question of the day time , how do you actually turn of the A/C ? Did say it was silly!!!
