Thanks Bleeno for that.... I checked the MAF (by disconnecting etc) and the problem still occured. I took the car to my garage and they plugged it in and it came up a code that could not be cleared regarding the Fuel Temp Sensor, this has been replaced...and again the problem still occured. SO back to basics he has serviced it and run engine treatment/cleaner through it....but the problem is still happening! Please if anyone has got any idea what this might be please please let me know. Thanks

UPDATE.... ...on the way to work this morning this jerking was constant, it was happening when idle, coatsing but worse when pulling away. There was also a distinct lack of power. I'm off work tomorrow so will venture to the garage (if it lasts that long), but can anyone suggest what might be the problem please? Cheers!

Hi ya Over the last few morning i've noticed the engine is jerking when approaching about 2k rpm when the engine is cold. This goes when it has warmed up. Has anyone got any ideas what might be causing this? Seat Alhambra 19. TDI - X-Reg 121k miles on the clock!

Hi all I've currently got 215/55/16's on my Alhmabra and was wondering whether it was possible to get a lower profile tyre with the re-enforced walls still. What experience have any of you had trying to do this and what size did you go for? Cheers

Hi all.... Got problem with my Turbo and not having much luck with the garage that fitted my reconditioned one!!! In March my Turbo decided not to work anymore so I had a recon one fitted. Ever since I have not been happy with it....although the acceleration is good at 1,800 rpm its crap to say the least below that. I went to the garage and they said that there is nothing wrong with it. But I know my own car!! :lol: :D It has now since started to make a whine sort of noise when accelerating at approx 2,000 rpm. I have got a guarantee on the turbo for 12mths/12k miles. I just need some help with telling them what the problem is so that they dont keep fobbing me off.....can anyone help me please? :D :D

Hi ya My battery is dying on my key fob. I would rather do this myself so am happy to have a go but can anyone tell me what type of battery I need and also will the 'memory' in my key be erased and I'll have to get it reset? (Its the seat 2 button with the fold out key fob) Also my heated wing mirror has cracked, can I just replace the glass itself and whatever the connectiuon is the for the heating element or do I need to replace the whole thing? Hi all About 6 weeks ago my turbo decided to die so I got a reconditioned one fitted. Since it was fitted I have had problems with a lack of power when accelerating up to 2,000 rpm. I took it back to the garage that fitted the turbo and they claim there is a fault with the fuel pump. So i went back to my normal garage (who I do trust) and he is not brilliant with diesel engines and thinks they might be fobbing me off and suggest I get a disel mechanic to have a look and diagnose the fault. He did however notive that the fuel filter was "loose" and tightened it up. Since he done that power had increased slightly but was still not 100%. At the weekend I was driving from Brum to Chester up the A41 the lasck of pwer came back again and when pulling away from every island (there is quite a few) there was thick blue/white smoke comming form the exhaust, but once at a coasting speed of 65 ish the smoke stopped. I checked the oil levels and they were fine. I'm at a loss as to what the problem is and need some firm answers so I know what coarse of action to take. Does anyone recognise what the problem might be. Me and my mechanic think its down to the turbo but I thought I'd run it past you guys before coughing up for the diesel mechanis to have a ponder over the car! Hi all been a while since I've posted on here....dont get much time to myself anymore!!! The turbo gave up on me the other week and hasn't been right since its been replaced (reconditioned one). I have had a dig check done and it has come back the following... "17571 fuel temperature sensor open circuit/short with power P1163 intermittent" Has anyone got any ideas what this might mean please.... Cheers

Help please!!!! The rear passenger side window wont work (on either switches) and the drivers heated seat wont work!!! Checked all fuses and the connections to the seat all appear to be ok? Anyone got any suggestions? Could they be linked? Cheers :) :)

But when I turn the engine off...then start her up again the air con blows cold for a bit then goes warm I'd have though if it was a leak it wouldn't work at all not just when its first turned on??

I had the air con re-gassed today...worked great for a short while. Now when I first turn the air con on its nice and cool for the first few minutes....then no matter how cold I put it (i keep it on 18) it just stays warm...anyone got any ideas before I have a moan tomorrow?! :lol: ;)
