for sale possible head gasket gone , I'm not getting repaired so car has to go for spares or repair . Had new front suspension and drive shafts recently. Plus new Turbo about two years ago . Car is in grays Essex . Drives fine but losing fluid. Any more info call me on 07956481818. Also four new tyres. £300 for a quick sale . Long mot.

Hi , yep had the dreaded main feed fuse box melt today , I was near home when I could smell the burning. I got the car home ok and checked it out to find the fuse box smokin. There is a ford parts dealer just up the road from where I live ,so I popped in there for a new fuse box and cable to the alternator only to find they only had the fuse box in stock, £39 rip off as usual but needs must and all that, and an extra £45 for the cable but they would have to order it .So I left the cable for now, too expensive. I don't need to use the car for a few days, so I was wondering if any of you guys or gals would know what size the cable is to the alternator from the fuse box ,does it need to take 150 amps minimum or would a higher rated cable be better.

On the bottom of the heater there is a small pipe about an inch long and the exhaust pipe slips over the small one and is clamped there. well my problem is the small pipe has broken off flush with the bottom of the heater, so I dont have anything to work with . :)

I have not been on the forum for a while.. yeah, the exhaust has broken off ,right on the unit. I asked a mechanic if it could be welded back on and he didnt think it could and said ,best get a new one ... yeah right , too much for me to afford.

Hi i'm in need of a new aux heater for my mk2 tdi galaxy and just wondered if anyone knows if a mk1 heater will fit, as i've been offered a brand new one for half the price of a mk2 heater. thanks.

Hi , I have a problem with the control unit that selects the screens in the back , I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but is certainly a strange one.... basically when the screens are on in the back I am lucky if I can get both on at the same time, usually it only allows one or the other which is rather annoying. Futher still when I turn off the engine while the screens are on ,the engine keeps running even when I take out the key from the ignition , the engine will stop as soon as I turn off the screen in the back :ph34r: hows that ?? Are these controllers prone to problems? If so can it be replaced with another brand ..any suggestion?

Hello i'm quite new here and have just got myself a galaxy 1.9tdi ghia y reg. A great car but not without a few minor faults , hopefully with the help of this forum I will be able to sort out.

parking sensors are playing up does any one know how to get the front bumper off ??
