  1. took me a few hours to srtip it out about an hour to free the drivers side 10 minutes to do the other then its just a case of piecing it all back together and when you have done it your self you get the smug feeling that you have saved a couple of hundred quid in all it cost me less than a fiver for all the bits i needed and did it in under a day in the pouring rain stuff taking it to a garage to get it done crack open the socket set and give it a go your self you dont know till you try and if it does go wrong you can still take it to the garage to get it sorted theres plenty of advice on the subject on this forum I got the hubby to strip it down this morning, and it's all been cleaned up and WD40 on all the moving parts. I've got it booked in at the local garage for Monday, and the bloke said to me "they make them from monkey metal, it'll be the mechanics jamming, or the motor given up" Niether, he warned me, were going to be cheap to fix, and when I told him how old the car was, he said "yeh, that's about right"
  3. I've just had exactly the same problem, although the Ford Dealership said it may be the switch, as III works on the fan; it is usually (according to Ford) only the resistor when only IV works. However after being frightened off by the cost (
