Sorry for a silly question but, what does the T-MAP sensor look like and where is it located (2000 90BHP tdi)? My Haynes manual is of no use at all! I have tried replacing the MAF sensor and have replaced the vaccum hoses with silicone hoses and tried cleaning the turbo and still it goes into limp mode. Thanks in advance, Dave.

Check the vacuum reservoir, its a tennis ball sized sphere at the front of the engine. Sometimes the pipe/bung becomes loose. Note this vacuum reservoir thing only applies to PD engines. Thanks, I'll check it tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. My rear wiper stopped working a few weeks ago so I will check out thr wiring tomorrow.

I have the same problem with my 2000 1.9 90bhp. I have changed the MAF sensor and have checked the hoses. The strange thing is, it used to go into 'safe mode' when the engine warmed up. Lately, however, it has been doing it within a mile of leaving home. Maybe the recent freezing weather has had a strange effect?
