I own a mk1 galaxy and recenlty brought some mirrors from ebay that claimed to be mk1 but are actually mk2 . They fit perfectly but the wiring plug is diffarent... does anyone know if its possible to cut the wiring plug from the new mirror and put the wiring plug from the old mirror on (if that makes sense!) If so does anyone have a wiring diagram or know what colour wires from the old plug need to be connected to what colour wiring on the new mirrors! Ive searched the forums but cant find anything... I hope this makes sense and look forward to some replys!! many thanks in advance

A similar problem happend to me... it turned out the wires had somehow got caught as the window went down and pulled 2 of them out of the connector. leaving the door inoperable... i gave the car to a mechanic who managed to get the door card of re-connect the wires and subsequently get the door open... im afraid im not sure how he manged to get the door card of with the door shut, but i hope this little snippet of info helps you somehow!

Agreeing with the majority on this one... i have them fitted to my galaxy ( as does a friend ) and i think the car seems to handle ( and look) much better.. go for it is my advice!

I own a car spares and accessory shop and sell k-seal by the bucket load.... all feedback ive had on this stuff is extremly positive with one customer claiming that a year after using it to seal a head gasket leak, his car was still going strong... definatly worth trying - highly recommended!!
