Hi i was wondering if there anyone here can help. My girlfriend has got a ford galaxy mk I and just recently the engine started running rough. My imediate reaction to this was okay lets check the oil and yes really low so topped that up checked the coolant yes that was low so topped that up. NO LUCK! NEXT step maybe its time to change the plugs and leads.After i replaced them the car ran no better. I herd of some people on here talk about the coil packs and the break down of the insulation around the transformers due to the high voltage. okay went to the shop and bought some epoxy resin as i did notice that there was some fine cracks in the mold, just to be sure i apllied the resin over most of the transformer casing especially were the coils might be close to the egine and a chance of arcing. Ive had no luck so far engine is running so badly it sounds like an old trackor. Im abit lost now is there anyone here can point me in the right direction or maybe this is a common fault on this car i have search the forum before posting didnt find anything that stood out can some one help please ?

yeah ive checked again i am in the relevant section? it seems that you have posted wrong this post is in the mkI mkII ford galaxy technical section? as you said in my other post lumy. i couldnt start a thread because i was a newbie ??????

im not being funny but post i replied to is in the technical section(galaxy) and the guy who started this thread starts his post by saying he owns a galaxy 96 ghia ? i not understanding you?

hi all ive got a ford galaxy 2.3 1998. just recently the car started to judder especially when you put the foot on the accelerator. okay I thought, ill start by replacing the spark plugs and HT leads no difference. Next step the HT transformers they cost alot of money and still there was no difference. Im not sure what to do next because i seem like a misfiring problem i have but ive replaced all the electrical components in that circuit and the car runs like a tracktor is there any one here whos had a similar problem and hows the best way to fix it.......?
