Can anyone please tell me the curcuit that is protected by the 60amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box on my 1.9 TDi Mark 2 Galaxy. (Its the first fuse of 5 ranging from 150 amps.) I have searched the forum and have seen problems a lot of owners have had with the alternator wiring melting the 150 amp fuse connection but my problem is the flippin' 60 amp fuse. When replaced, its OK for a few minutes with the engine at idle then it blows! Battery them discharges as it tries to feed the cars electrics then car dies after about 50 miles. It seems that the fuse blowing prevents battery charging in the car but charges a treat when charged in the house! Battery warning light in the dash comes on, fuse blows after a while but this warning light stays on all the time even before this 60 amp fuse blows! Is it the battery? Alternator? Is it me??? Can anyone PLEASE give me some pointers? Am I asking to many questions? I'll shut up now....
