  1. Thanks for that Nick. I have just been to my local Ford dealer to buy a new switch. However they had ordered the wrong one. It seems as though there are indeed two switches on the clutch pedal. One is called the clutch pedal switch and the other is the cruise control switch. Apparently the clutch pedal switch is to tell the ecu when the clutch is engaged or not. I don't see why they can't use one switch for both functions. I am going out to the car in a minute to see if there are two switches or not and I will try your method on the cruise control switch. On the Microcat it looks as if the clutch switch fits further on top of the pedal box and fits in from the opposite side of the pedal.
  2. I don't know if you got this sorted but I am having the same problem. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago and just recently the cruise control stopped working. I traced it to the clutch switch and have found that like you the pedal does not quite make enough contact to operate the switch. If I hold my foot under the pedal and lift it up the cruise works. The switch is fitted in the lower hole but like you say it would be better in the upper hole so it contacts the pad. It does not fit in that hole though as the shape is slightly different.
