As Mirez said aftermarket option is cheaper and may last longer as is made more sturdy. I have had fitted on mine gal two weeks ago and can't complain. George TOuche :) ok so i read it wrong ....but had this problem with my previous galaxy { which was stolen} and a friend of mine fixed it

hi i got complete drive shaft last week from my local motor factors cost

i got a 52 plate tdi and when i accelerate at low speed i get a noise as if the exhaust has a hole in it its the turbo i think and also when i am at say 70 going up a hill it loses power a bit and wont accelerate very well also im getting a juddering and rattle at 70mph onwards now i know this cud be down to balancing ...its mnot drop links or driveshaft as i replaced them Please help its driving me mad

hi i got a 2003 galaxy 19tdi and i have a noise coming from the offside front especially when i turn the steering wheel or am on uneven ground like going uphill . its like a rattle/knock and its not the engine as when its sitting still its fine and its not a clicking noise sometimes its like a loose metal sound can you help ?

hey tried to change the battery in my key for my car and lost the pat chip so car wouldnt start well starts then stops without reving .... called a key speacialist out and he cant get it going as it wont accept new chip but we also noticed door light and clock light not working for central locking is it a fuse ? Locksmith is coming back out in the morning to hopefully get it done ....but after him being here for an hour and half i have little faith Gotta get this done and sorted as im selling it .. and have new galaxy titanium tdci being delivered in july Please help

well after a few days of buying two new front tyres and getting the car looked at by a local garage who said i needed both front driveshafts replaced i decided to drop it off to my friend who is a home mechanic having said i was told it was driveshafts he said he would take both out and look at them and fix them if there is a problem anyway he stripped em and saw no problem with the cv joints at all then he tested the ball joints and saw no problem also the steering bushes no problem so he decided to look at the front nearside suspension and noticed that it was loose and out of place and a lil bent so he fixed it properly and hey presto .... gops to show what some garages know eh may have been the reason why the nearside tyre was more worn than the offside now the juddering has stopped anyone who has shaking/juddering and dont know what it is check your front suspension as it could be this all in all my friend save me a lot of time and money

i got an 03 tdi ghia and noticed a vibration coming from my engine didnt notice the air con was faulty or anything anyway after ruling out the tyres and shafts i looked in the engine bay and felt around and found the lower pipe had snapped off at the air conditioning pump the one that goes round the bottom bulkhead and that not the radiator one i have been told this pipe can be replaces easily and comes in two parts and joins around somewhere near the offside headlight is this true ? at the moment im not using the air con as its bleedin cold using econ on the heating only ....wondered why the heating unit in the car was flashing !! serves me right for not reading the owners guide lol Anyone know how much this will cost for the pipe and refill ?

hi well i have the same sort of problem on my 03 19 tdi it seems to be vibrating but seems to be coming from the front wheels im gonna get it checked out friday hopefully its just a cv joint tyre or engine mount but it is shaky on the steering and feels worse when i turn left its not the balancing as i have had that done last week

lol i just bought a 1.9 tdi ghia 2003 and it has the same problem ...except for the cutting out and ignition bit ill wait with you for help

hi i have a galxy 2.3 ghia 1998 and its only just started to go wrong ..i had the camchain replaced 4 weeks ago and the alternator 2 weeks ago after the bearing went in it anyway its started making squeaking noises and a little rumble at speed its not coming from the alternator and when i sprayed grease on the air con pump it quietened a little but not a lot but still rumbled and made the car shake at speed can you help is it the tension pulley ?
