  1. Hi Long time not posting as things have gone smoothly up until now ! My Alhambra TDi has suddenly starting playing up, when starting from cold she'll fire up then die straight away unless you give it a lot of throttle, when driving there will be an intermittent dip in power and a fair bit of smoke from the exhaust, putting your foot down will clear it, a mate of mine suggested taking the EGR valve off and cleaning it up, so off I toddled up to the workshop and set about pulling it off.... When I took the intake pipe off the inlet manifold I noticed it was full of oil, the turbo spins up fine and there's no other signs off illness apart from the intermittent power loss. What would be causing it to blow oil round the intake ? Apologies if this has already been covered but I couldn't find anything by searching, if it has could a kind soul point me towards the relevant thread Cheers Bogie PS anyone got a good hangover cure ?, I'm dying here :)
  2. I'm glad someone else resurrected this thread  I've the same problem with a MK1 Alhambra, the wifes key works perfectly where as mine only works when the key is almost in the barrel. I changed the batteries in both keys when I got the car as a matter of course, hers will work from about 30ft away, mine used to work from about 10ft then got steadily worse
  3. I know of RWHS.....very pricey IMHO, there's still good bikes out there to be had for sensible money (less than
  4. Morning all I'm a south London boy living the life of o'riley on the west coast of Ireland  Got a 2000 model Seat Alhambra 1.9 Tdi that will no doubt need some spanner twiddeling done on it at some point, so will be scouring the tech sections with greasy hands lol In my 40's and used to do sprinitng/hill climb in Minis back in the 80's, now spend my spare time restoring 70's japanese bikes and restoring an old cottage...or as my mates say 'cottaging in ireland'
