Just changed my door speakers and mumof4 is spot on (on my 2003 at least!) Remove the handle and the 2 (or 3 on drivers door) bolts as described. Make sure you remove the bolts completely, mine didn't fall out so I grabbed them with some pliers. Firmly grab the bottom front (hinge side) of the panel and pull sharply up, repeat at the back, the panel will unclip with no damage to the clips. To refit the panel, check all the wires are refitted or in place. Hang the panel on the panel on the top of the door. With a small amount of pressure in the middle rear edge and bottom of the panel - lift the panel carefully and you will feel the panel locate on the clips. Keeping pressure on the panel, slide down firmly until the panel feels located (may not be fully down). Repeat the lift whilst pressing, locate and slide down on the front edge. - I found the centre bottom location took care of itself - check there is no gap under the middle of the panel. Now press firmly down on the panel frant and back - the panel clicks into place. This worked on all 4 doors, with one door being done a few times whilst measuring and fitting the first speaker. No clips were broken - 1 clip did fall out and was refitted. Hope this helps someone! Thanks again to "mumof4", who saved me from levering the panels off :lol: P.S. Speakers are JBL GTO Series - which I highly recommend for clear and undistorted sound. TIP - look for rubber surrounds and a weather resistant cone (rigid plastic-like material)

Correction: Galaxy 2000.75 - 2003.75 covered. What about 2003.75 and later?

Thanks, I can't get to EBAY at the moment (from work). Most adverts I have seen (including google links to ebay that I can't open) cover Galaxy up to 2000.75, some other suppliers state "up to 2000.75 - not 130ps" Does anyone know for sure of a CD that does cover a November 2003 130ps?

phillpv - thanks for the info. and big thanks to littledaz for the guide on checking for this problem I have just brought a Galaxy, 53 TDi 130 - this is my first post! I too just had the same issue with the alternator workshop flash up on dashboard about 2 weeks ago on a 53 plate 1.9 TDi !! I also have a lot of vibration on the tensioner and a squeel with steering on full lock. "The pulley part numbers if that helps anyone are:- Ford Finis F1469755 / VW/Audi 022 903 119c" Will this part fit my alternator or should I look for an alternator part number first. "Had my mate use his own tool and he fitted new pulley approx 20 mins without removing alternator from car." Will the Laser Tools 3307 mentioned in this tread enable me to change the pulley without removing the alternator - is this the best method? Thanks in advance for any advice - p.s. can anyone recommend where to get a Workshop Manual Adam
