Never Had a Ford before! Tyres on all my previous motors (people carriers) lasted more than a year, hence I was expecting the same from Ford! As this is my first service on the Galaxy, I now know to check the tyres...Who knows it could have been illegal after six months!

I was shocked to find out from 1st service today that my two front tyres are illegal. Tyres were rated : 0mm for outer and 0mm inner depth and 2mm for middle. Tyre make is Continental 225/50 17 W(98) Back tyres are fine at 5/6/6. Car is a 58 Gal Ghia 2.0 TDCI Auto Is this normal Wear for this Tyre Make and Vehicle or do I have a wheel alignment problem? Has anyone experinced there wiper starting if left on auto and the engine is being switched off? Wiper comes starts and stops half way up the windscreen as the ignition is turned off. Happens ever so often and is very annoying. Is this an electrical fault? Gal. MKIII 58 Reg.

Hello Does anyone know where the following are placed on the Galaxy Ghia 58 Reg: 1. Bluetooth Mic(s) 2. Auto Headlamp sensor 3. Auto Wiper sensor My auto headlamp has been acting strangely e.g. comes on in tunnel and refuse to go off even when it is very sunny. Might be dirt in the way hence I need to know where it is to ensure the area is clean. Bluetooth is voice recognition only respond when I am driving straight ahead. Need to see where wiper sensor so I can make area dirt free. I could not find these on my original manual. Thanks.

Insider: you should get your facts right before posting flippant comments! Ford does sell tow bars as a pre-order option and after-sales option. They may not manufacture it, but they do sell and fit

Anyone know why Ford dealers will literally coarse you to use a non-ford part. All the dealers I have spoken to seem to be doing this whenever I enquire about getting a retractable towbar fitted! They are bent on raising the price as high as possible to persuade you to use their non-ford alternatives. Are they likely to do the same with other parts? Any ideas to help me make sense of this will be useful

I broke one of my tpms valves recently...thank God for run-flat otherwise I would have been stuck with no spares. Spent

One on the TPMS valve broke when I tried to inflate the tyre. Valve broke after I removed the pump. With no spares, I was lucky I went for the run-flat tyres and was able to drive the car home. Took it to local dealer who happily charged

Thanks guys...that should put my mind at rest...spoke to two dealers (vehicle supplier and local dealer) and they both had no clue!

Hi I have just received delivery of a 58Reg Galaxy. To my surprise, it doesn't have underfloor storage behind the third row seat. I took it to my local dealer, they think it should have one, but don't know why mine is sealed. My Gal's build date is July 08. Showroom Galaxy (March 08 Build) had underfloor storage with a Mat cover. see attachment Does anyone know why the rear underfloor storage might be sealed? Could it be anything to do with the build Options below? Thanks George We may be carrying up to 3/4 bikes in the long run, so will perhaps need the Towbar. Ultimately comes down to price, but I prefer the retractable which "hides" the towbar and the electrics/adapter under the bumper and they not visible unless in use. I am kicking myself for not including as a factory order...would have cost

Hi Does anyone know if a Retractable Towbar can be fitted to the MKIII as an accessory? It is a factory option. Didn't realise I will need one when ordering. Need it to carry bikes on a Thule EuroClassic Pro 903 Cycle Carrier or similar. Can I source the genuine ford version and get specialist fittings? Any thoughts are appreciated

My GAL has been delivered! And Ink blue looks Awesome. Got it on the new 58Reg so can't legally drive...just sat on my driveway! How painful is that :lol: :D
