  1. Hi, I have exactly the same problem as described. I have gone up inside the drivers footwell and tested all the wires into the big plug to eliminate broken wires in the door shut and have found that there is no power to any wires suggesting a problem before this point, after checking all the fuses and finding they are fine I'm baffled as mine is 03 Tdi so apparently should'nt suffer from the water in the box under the passenger seat ( it is dry btw under there) I would appreciate any ideas, thanks in advance.
  2. Hi thanks for that, where abouts do I check the level and if it is leaking from the slave cylinder can I just top it up and carry on using it without any problems presuming the leak is'nt too bad?
  3. I have a 2003 1.9Tdi Galaxy and I have an intermitant problem with the clutch. I know this has been mentioned in other posts but they always seem to get too involved in about 10 different options. My problem (happened twice) seems to be straight forward to explain so was wondering if anyone had encountered similar and found what the absolute fix is regardless of cost. I'll discribe how it happened today which is only the second time its done it: I was travelling to Bristol and everything had been fine, nice smooth gears nothing wrong at all, I stopped at the services after 100 miles and after 10 mins pulled off, it slipped into 1st fine, came out of 1st nice and smooth but it would'nt go into 2nd at all, after a swear word or 2 I looked down at the clutch pedal and it had only returned half way, after reading previous posts with no positive results I think the follwing may be relivent to an expert: I pressed the peddle to the floor again from it's halfway position and tried 1st and got nothing, I did it again and tried other gears after 1st and still could'nt get into any gear I then raised the peddle back to the top with my foot and hey presto back to normal! I'm wondering what made the pedal stick at half way and why could'nt I engage gears from that position whilst by simply lifting it back to the top of it's travel everything is ok again. I carried on to Bristol, shunted around the city and returned home (120 miles) with no problems at all, just a smooth and perfect clutch and gear change as it should be. I have a feeling this will get more frequent. Has anyone got any ideas please.
