  1. Hi just checked mine, although it feels hollow when tapped from outside it certainly doesn't flex when stood on inside. Hope that helps
  2. Hi all after having a mk2 desiel auto for 4 years i decided to to take the plunge a month ago, mk3 desiel 6g manual 1.8 2008. All i can say upto now covering 2k it's averages 48mpg although computer says 50-52mpg (i wish) mk2 managed 38mpg computer 40-46.
  3. I checked with the car jacked up but everything is as it should be. The wobble feels as though only 3 cylinders are firing and only happens when run for a while. Strange but it doesn't always happen and only seems noticable at 50mph going through road works.
  4. Hi all, recently noticed whilst driving along at 70mph on the motorway then having to slow down to 50mph sometimes the car wobbles as though its being starved of fuel. This only happens sometimes, i've a feeling its the maff on its way out but just wondering if any other member has had same fault and could diagnose? Thanks. 1.9tdi auto ghia 2004
  5. Hi all, can anyone help. Tdi 2004 auto. Fault intermittantly happens when cruise set to 70mph on motorways then having to set at 50mph (usual motorway repairs) sometimes the vehicle feels as thought the engine is going to fall out due to it vibraiting this does not always happen tried going into tip to get rid of it. this only happens when the car is at normal running temp. I'm suspecting a now worn maff sensor as the cars over 5 yeas old can someone help thanks.
  6. I expect so, they do now sell some Ford parts (discs etc). Give them a ring and ask. I replaced my front pads some time ago on my tdi auto 04, the sensor wire being on the one side only. There is 3 types, ended up replacing the discs aswell 300mm. be aware, you have to remove the calliper brackets to get to the discs you need a big socket think it was 24mm. Prices for this little lot is a mine field, Got full set off ebay cost
  7. Hi all Im new to the site. I have the Auto version of the Gal tdi all I can say is it's great.Fuel its around 40-45mpg It also has the tiptronic 4 speed box so down country lanes where I find a manual version much better you can switch over, you then get the best of both worlds with manual control. We also have a manual car, I have found after driving both and the increasing traffic jams I would have a Auto anyday. No more left leg twitches..
