  1. First had a look at the left hand side from the body to tailgate - everything looked ok Then had a look at the right hand side....10-12 cables of whom 4-5 where damaged and one (the one for the licence plate light) broken... Repaired the damaged ones and reconnected the one for the licence plate light.... everything works like new Thanks for advice !

Hi, I owwn a 1999 diesel 1.9 tdi, 66kw i have found out that since a while the 2 rear licence plate lamps are not working any more: - I checked fuse 30 and that is ok - I also checked supply of current to the fuse and that is ok - I checked the bulbs but they looked ok - I replaced the bulbs, still not working - I tried to find 12v in the bulb socket but nu 12v found.   4. Hi, I had a similar acid/leaking problem. When cleaning everything with a lot of water and soda a lot of water/soda/acid dripped down, underneath the battery platform and eventually it leaked out from the bottom of the car. I used tons of water to rince but I'm still affraid taht everything below teh battery palform will now start rusting...... any advice? Is that a problem? Bruno-Belgium
