  1. Once again my old galaxy has failed its MOT again on emissions, but this time they told me its a fault with the secondary air injection system fault code P1414. Only problem is know one knows what the code means? So I'm after some help to solve this problem and hopefully get her back on the road.
  2. Thanks for the tip tried it today gave it a clean with some WD40,dried it out then re-fitted it. Problem now it won't even tick over so looks like i'll be buying a new one. Local dealer just quoted me
  3. I looking for help to a small problem I have with my Gal, she's a MK1 2.0 Ghia and has done about 137,000 miles. Over the last month the engine has been cutting out on me every time I slow down to stop at a junction or even when I'm parking the car, which has been close to causing some damage. I have changed the crank shaft sensor, the MAF sensor, new exhaust and recently a new fuel regulator but still the same old problem. The car will sit quite happly at tick over @ 950rpm but any sort revving of the engine will see it cut out. Any ideas, advice would be gratefully received about the car as i don't want to get rid of her yet.
  4. Wanted for Mk1 galaxy a nice pair of front fog lamps
  5. Yes guys genuine Ford Lambda sensor fitted but been told thats not at fault, finally found the fault which was the fuel pressure regulator and air temp sensor. Picking up the old gal tomorrow but 300 notes lighter in my pocket. ouch!!
  6. Need some help please !! 2.0 Ghia failed its emissions again this year had new CAT and Lamda sensor last year and just scrapped through, this year its failed again but only on fast idle. Been told by local ford garage to change oil +filter, petrol filter and then put an additive in then give it a quick blast down the motorway then get it re-checked, it should pass?? If not change the CAT again which is costly. Anybody had previous problems with there's and how did you get round it? :)
