But today in garage one mate said me"Don`t go with Mintex-better Delphi, Ate or Ferrodo". What do you think? I found set of Mintex on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=260353646417 Foreign Autoparts in Gloucester won`t charge me 112-after discount... for the same, but they recommended Brake Engineering.

From april last year I `m the owner of Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDI, 2003reg. Last year I paid for fully comprehesive insurance (Zurich) Ł580. I paid once in advance. There is my wife additional driver (1 year Driving Licence only). After 1 year I`ve got 1 year NCB. This is not big difference to pay-arround few pounds. But I have documented and translated to English 8 years NCB. But not many isurance companies does accept them(from abroad). Ł580 is it very expensive? How much do you pay? Did anyone know, what company does accept NCB from abroad? regards

What Tyres For Galaxy Mk2 ?
cowboyasterix posted a topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I bought this car with 195/60R16 tyres, but i found on website, that should be 215/55R16 when 130hp. 195/60R16 up to 107hp, optional 205/55R16. I`ve got 16", 6 1/2" rims. So 215/55R16 will be ok for those rims? I think about: tyres on this website: http://www.tyresite.com/tyres.asp?width=21...=55&size=16 215/55R16 Hankook K105 97W XL Tyre or 215/55R16 Cooper Zeon XTC 97V XL tyre or 215/55R16 Kumho KW17 97H Tyre or 215/55R16 Cooper Zeon XTC 97W XL tyre Anybody using those tyres? -
yes it is possible, price the parts first, the switch and also the mounting panel that the switch sits in to, it is not going to be cheap because you will require a door wiring harness also for both sides, it will be possible to wire up the mirrors manually but it will not be easy if you have never done this sort of thing before, you will require a wiring diagram, Anyway I will try. I know some electric cars diagram. Cheers

Check electric water pump under bonet. If not working, you will have to put a new carbon brushes on it. -

Galaxy A/c Not Working
cowboyasterix replied to cowboyasterix's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Hi. I just come back from Kwik Fit. Regassed A/C, but didn`t start, so I nothing paid for it. But, I back home, switched on the A/C and clutch start slightly slide. Then I switched off, because the belt started to stink. Now is +6.5`C on vents, but compressor working hard. Do you think it will be ok? -

Galaxy A/c Not Working
cowboyasterix replied to cowboyasterix's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
I bought it from private person(from home), but he is a trade-I have invoice. It was good bargain 4400 for 2003year. In the day when I bought this car was very cold, seller said, that it`s too cold to run A/C. But i suspected that it wasn`t worked. Even heated windscreen is not heated, normal windscreen instead of heated  So, tomorrow I am going to Kwik Fit to regas, because 99% I think, that compressor gone, or radiator or any pipe have big leek. But, when I pressed today ball in the nozzle to recharge A/C it made slightly "tsssssst". -
and A/C not working, no gas in. I don` t know compressor is working? I made appointment for tomorrow at Bristol Street Motors Gloucester for recharge A/C . Told me 65 pounds. But later I was at Kwik Fit, it`s 45 pounds, but if compressor not working or there is aleek, they not will charge me at all. I thunk there may be a leak. It`s not old car (2003), so A/C should working. Where should I go? I don`t know Bristol Strret. M. will charge me, even if is a leak? I didn`t ask, maybe you know? Cheers

So, guys you suggest that compressor is dead. Is it possible to remove it and try to repair. What exactly is seizing up? Bearings or something else? So, like now try to regass it or go to A/C specialist or looking for new compressor? Is it VW manufactured-the same what in Passat? What do you think about this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Galaxy-Mk2-A-C-...Q2em118Q2el1247

Air Con , How Cold
cowboyasterix replied to mikej's topic in Ford Galaxy Technical Section MK I MK II
Inside vents the best ~ +1, +2`C But about +3 to +5 is not too bad. After regassed(KwikFit) in my old Mk1 Mondeo-last year I had +2`C in vents. -
