  1. Hi I have just found out that I have the same problem.... not too good heading into winter, all fuses look good ,not too sure where else to look to be honest, any help gratefully appreciated. 01 June Galaxy 1.9 tdi 192k miles on the clock .. regards Paul

Hi I put key in ignition the oil light comes on normal soon as I start engine the light turns amber and stays on with the sound of a high pitched alarm for a second but light stays on I was lead to believe it was low oil warning so I've topped oil up and the light remains on it looks like the oil pressure switch could be faulty, has anyone replaced it.. is it easy enough to do? regards Paul

Hi I am stuck a bit , I cannot get the pulley off the alternator with the alternator still in the car, but I can only see one bolt on the alternator from above!! can anyone give me a quick guide to taking the alternator out ? and also I had a tough time getting the old belt back on but I am sure with the alternator out it give more wiggle room the line things up? thanks Paul
  4. hi thanks for the replies I have checked the wires and any that were cracked I spliced but its still not working Its either brake lights or lights but not both could it be a common relay?

Hi folks got the confounded flashing coil and replaced the switch and found a broken cable in the tailgate all was right in the world until I noticed that when I turn the lights on the brake lights no longer work and the flashing coil is back would anybody know if its common to both relay gone or more faulty wiring?? thanks Paul
  6. Thanks BigDog! checked out wiring loom in tailgate on right hand side (drivers) broken red/white wire and exposed earth wire, spliced wired and now are brakes working and no flashing coil!!! yahooo! thanks for the advice Paul

Hi have been having a few problems with the dreaded brake light switch on my 01 Galaxy, got the flashing coil and replaced the brake light switch which did not do anything but I noticed the handbrake light was not working, took out the handbrake switch and tested the switch and its ok but there is no power going to the switch, I have looked for a fuse or relay gone and cant find anything it driving me nuts does anyone have any idea where to look!!!
