  1. Hi There is nowhere to plug an FM transmiter into. If you wanted to use an FM transmitter you would have to make up a similar lead using a female 3.5mm jack to plug the transmitter in and wire that into the back of the DVD unit. You would also need to power it! If you're going to go to all that trouble you may as well get a decent and consistent sound by running a cable straight into the AUX in. cheers Rob
  2. Hi Thanks for all the requests for a solution, I'm just sorry it's taken me so long to post. I'll try to make this as simple as possible! On the rear of the player is a spare set of pin outs which aren't being used. This is called cavity Y. There are 8 pins set out as: x1 x3 x5 x7 x2 x3 x6 x8 pin1 is AV3 out audio L pin2 is AV3 out audio GND pin3 is AV3 out audio R n.b. I'm assuming at this point you have an auxillary jack in the glove compartment as otherwise things may get slightly more tricky for you! You need to connect a 3.5mm stereo jack into the aux socket and run a screened 2m audio cable finished with 3 loose crimped terminals into pins 1,2,3 L,R,GND. You really should use the correct plug to hold this into place. Now if you're technically minded I hope you'll be understanding all this but if not or to save yourself the hassle, I know a man who can make a lead including the correct fitments for you! His name is Alan, he's very helpful and his email is hifilinks@btinternet.com. Just mention what you want to do, mention you want the same he did one for Rob at RASWills@aol.com about a month ago and I think he should be able to sort you out. It cost me
  3. Thanks...now sorted! Cheap and easy too..anyone looking to do the same just post and I'll help cheers
  4. Thanks for the reply The problem I have is that there are no audio out jacks anywhere in the car. Only IR headphones can receive sound so an FM transmitter is not an option. I do find this fairly puzzling as it is a
  5. Just picked up my new Galaxy today! Maybe a stupid question but how do I get the sound from the dvd player through the cars main audio system so I don't have to use the wireless headsets?
