  1. Hi, I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I did a search and couldn't find an answer. Where can I buy replacement interior door grab handles for a MKII Galaxy? I've tried searching on Google but it just brings up breakers yards where you have to put in your details and know that they'll never contact you... Many thanks in advance
  2. Right, can I check which model this works with? We've recently moved abroad and since we got here my 2005 Galaxy is being a nightmare! First the driveshaft goes, now I went to clean the dust off my windscreen and my wipers are not working, just moving an inch, stopping, moving a bit more...they were fine last time I used them. I thought it might be the dust/sea air here and came across this thread, really can't afford to pay more money to the garage so want to try myself and inspired my Mumof4! Having seen the photos though feeling a little scared... Looked online for a Haynes manual and they don't seem to have one for my model, so does this thread apply to a 2005 model or is it the previous model? Thanks G
  3. Do you have this sorted now and if so what was it? I have the same problem, but have recently moved abroad so need to try and source parts from the UK but am having trouble translating what the problem is to get the right parts! Have had all the wheels aligned & balanced and some sort of rubber boot thing replaced (not sure what that is either) but this is not the tyres as it stops as soon as you take your foot off the accelerator. G
  4. Just testing to see if anyone was paying attention :) Can stick on beam deflectors not be used ? Also why does the car have to be registered abroad ? If I was moving there I would look to purchase a LHD vehicle and only use the RHD temporarily. RHD vehicles are unsafe to drive on LHD roads ( and vice versa ) its not worth the risk. I have now moved, can anyone tell me how to change the lights over? We are suffering on the money side as work is scarce so anything we can do ourselves will be a great help. We only have 3 more months to register the car here, we are going to register here as to buy any galaxy here costs minimum of
  5. sorry are all the headlights the same then? I thought the Galaxy ones were different but have to admit I haven't studied the others. G
  6. Hi, does anyone know where to get LHD headlights from for a good price? We are moving abroad in September and have been told car parts are extremely expensive where we are moving to so probably best to source from the UK before we move. We have to get new lights to register the car in the new country and the only place I have found them is on Ebay for
  7. Hi, I haven't been on here for aaagggesss as I now have 3 kids and they are hard work... I don't have a lot of time to read throught the posts but will outline what I need if people could suggest how I do it and what equiptment I need? We are moving to Portugal in the new year and as it will be a long trip I would like the following, a new stereo (I have the standard 1.5 din one on an 05 Galaxy) that you can plug an ipod into, not sure the benefits of having USB plug vs the other one (sorry brain a bit thick lately and I forget words LOL). I'd like to link the stereo up to somthing that plays dvds, not sure whether to get those units that are mounted on the ceiling or whether to get a stereo that plays dvds and some screens for the rear. I also want to put my son's ps2 in the rear pocket so that would need to be wired up to the screens/sound and we already have the wireless controller. I'm thinking maybe 2 screens in the rear so he can play ps2 on on whilst dvd plays on the other? I can't really get it straight in my head the best way of doing it all, also the cheapest way as we don't have a lot of money. If I could do it for under
  8. oh no! haven't been able 2 get on here and missed it. Saved the search though so fingers crossed.
  9. :( Just had to trade my BMW 3 series Touring in for a Galaxy owing to the no. of sproglets appearing everywhere and I've been very sad indeed, but maybe reading your post I HAVE done the right thing. If only the Galaxy had the same build quality seeing as it wasn't far off the same price :P Oh and to the poster who wanted to down size...you would not be disappointed if you could bear to be tarred with the above BMW owners brush!! Mine was top spec with sat nav, leather seats, climate control and just sold it for
  10. Mike - nice job! It looks like you have the same interior to me and I don't have a load cover and wish to install one, any ideas what the interior finish is called or what shade fittings I need? Oh and being such and expert :( could you let me know how you remove the panels? I'm hoping with your guidance I can start off at around 30 mins and not have to practice too much :P :D Thanks G
  11. I'm sure that roofbox do one for
  12. Hmm not when I look - they must see me coming! :(
  13. Where can I get one from? Fed up with having to hunt the shopping... Thanks G
  14. Erm ;) ...sizzling nicely on the back burner at the mo, need some cash flow before I can continue. Still don't know if they are any good so will have to do a bit more research elsewhere. Thanks for asking...
  15. Oooohhhh...you can tell I'm new here can't you?? I won't ask
