has any one got an old spare wheel winch lying around by any chance....ill even pay you to post it to me...just need a reel...anyone..

i have the full unit as in the link,alls i need is the plastic reel in my photo,the rest of my unit(winch) is working,the reel is the problem. you dont happen to have an old one lying around by any chance do you. if not - thanks anyway.

its just the plastic circle reel in the photo im after nothing else...anyone...

my spare wheel winch packed in the other day,so i have replaced the cable and lubricated everything. the issue i have now is the cable reel is worn on one side so as i lift the wheel it reels back on its self because of the wear. does any kind person out there have an old winch that may have been replaced by a new one have a cable reel i could have. its the part with the spare wheel hole support the 3mm cable which attaches to to cable reel,photo enclosed. i know how much they cost from vw,seat & ford new.cheapest scrappy

Hi again you didn't say in previous post whether it has worked in the past or not, has glow plug been changed since its not been working. If the unit has had five consecutive flame outs and/or five overheats it will be locked you will then need to clear the error code before it will run again, obviously the faults need to be rectified first. Is the electric water pump working? this runs regardless of heater and should be heard running for approx 5 mins after engine is turned off. no noise what so ever from the unit, smoke,anything.iv checked the fuses none have been pulled on this car.they had on last one (galaxy) so iv never had one..i need it on a vag com to see whats up with it...the pump must be working surely or the water wouldnt circulate around the car...

anyone in the wirral area with a vag com who could check the aux heater in my bus to see what is wrong with it its dead as a door nail even in the cold weather we had...be helping me out..

yes iv sat there for hours reading it mine does nothing at all no power up smoke no noise at all nothing...just hope someone can help me out...

mk2 shape...do any of you out there who have had the aux heater of to do the glow plug by any chance know the outside diameter of the 2 flow & return pipes that run from the front to the rear on pass side ie: 15mm or 1/2". the reason why im asking is the heater no longer works and there is no need for the coolant to run to the rear of car any more aiding a better warm up time in the cold days. (next year.)or has anyone already done this...or is there any reason why i couldnt do it... also please dont say just fix it,its had the last money out of me it was cheaper to buy a big coat...

just to let you know if anyone is interested the part i needed was a driveshaft relay shaft it comes now as all in one and is upgraded it even come with new bolts and fixing bracket total price for part is

good one ! never got on to the wife bit... he told me he would replace the full thing incuding the bolts as thats what he gets in the parts from vag...he also replaces the bolts as he told me he has had the bolts sheered of on some he has done in the past & ill get him to check the one thats not gone yet... could this have anything to do with the full clutch & dmf i had fitted last month....at all..

thanks for that mirez...& the reason why i didnt do a search is i didnt know what to search for...anyway thats the problem my mate by the way is a vag indi so he told me to bring it down on monday he has done a good few of them thats how he new straight away when i described it to him over the phone,he also told me it was main dealer part & vag do stock them & apparently they have upgraded them for what ever reason,which is now obvious to me anyway... he also told me the parts is about

mk2 sharan tdi 03,wife just got home said a noise has just started from the passenger wheel area..got under car no visible signs,started, runs sweet,tried to take of it turnig the wheel sounds like a grinder very loud but seems more like round gearbox area from inside the car,so take of in straight line just like a jumping noise or wobbley wheel which its not.so then when i was trying to reverse it to park goes in to gear but no drive same in all gears. so turned car of then restarted went in gear ok reverse 1st & 2nd so i parked it.got friend on the phone described it he said its some sort of seperate spline or drive shaft from gearbox to clutch area,he said the jumping feel is the spline jumping the grinding is its teeth, or something said it was common on sharan & touran also main dealer part only and about a half an hour job anyone had same issue or do you know what this spline thing is...prefrable before monday when the tow truck arrives to take it to garage...forgot to say had brand new full clutch fitted last month and pedal feels ok...also drove perfect today then all of a sudden...any ideas...

does anyone know how to remove the front cigar lighter....i have a sharan mk2 o3 i know how to remove all the trim what i cant do is remove the lighter itself...is it clipped in or is it twist & pull or what tryed this already wont budge...got new one to go in as this one is knackered,just cant get old one out...pictures would be great if any available...by the way im not talking about the elliment...just the power source...help very welcome...

any one in the wirral area got a vag.com they could use on my sharan tdi 03 to try and find out the problem with my aux heater...

iv got another sharan mk2 again also just got a sat nav put in front lighter no power never been used as i dont smoke..rear one works perfect..anyone know what fuse it is on the sharan before i start getting the maps out instead...other than that only other problem is the rear heater which does not work at all...

just got another mk2 sharan tdi...the aux heater the one under pass floor,the pipes under the bus get hot,controls above pass rear door are on & the center button on console for rear heater lit up,but no heater noise or anything,no smoke jet noise at all,all fuses still there,no vag com is this a dead heater or what,or would the glow plug do this.iv sat there as long as i could no drink just the kids,not enough mins in the day...so ill understand if no one replies as you have heard this before,all the threads or posts whatever have all got smoke,any pointers ,anyone in wirral area with a vag com to see if any codes are there...

your spot on there got bulb today for my sharan went to go in through wheel arch ...just side light ..so if you lift bonnet there is a piece that slides up & of then you have the light cover which clips of ..remove for access for the back of light..pull power connector of unclip your bulb out it comes..just do the reverse when old one out line your bulb up clip it back on then cover and then slid the sliding cover back on...total time 5 mins...straight forward on the sharan anyway ...thanks for your thoughts anyway...

2003 52 plate 115 sharan pipe sheered of compressor also 2001 galaxy before this the exact same pipe snapped on that as well...best thing to do is just keep moving with your big windows down and let nature do its stuff...save you a lot of dough if out of warranty which mine is...money pit buses...good though...

what about loosening the plastic inner wing would that be worth a try or is it as bad as everyone makes out..
