Hi Mum of 4. Thanks for the offer, but since posting this I've found what I was looking for in the aux heater thread. Ours is smoking (grey smoke) until the engine has warmed up. Having just put it to the local Ford dealer, they told us "It's working fine, and there is nothing you can do about the smoke". Can't say as I was overly impressed with that answer, but now that I've read the thread I can see that probably a new glow plug is the likely remedy. Unfortunately, my lack of mobility make working under a car tricky, so I guess I'll live with it and if it gets too bad, take the fuse out! At least I now know why it sounds like a jet engine :o Sense of humour is fine by the way. Cheers, IanBo :D

Hi folks. Just joined because we have a Galaxy, and having been a member of a similar forum (Lexus Owners Club) for a while, I know how valuable and entertaining these forums can be. I also have a query about our car which I will post in the technical section as soon as I get access to it. My car has been fitted with a wheelchair lift in the back, and hand controls, since I am blessed with a progressive neurological complaint which is rendering my legs useless.
