  1. I just went to halford's and bought their own make for my 53 Galaxy. They were about
  2. No probs matey. I took a look at mine today after I had been to the local garage with my other car for its service/MOT and enquired about the wiring loom which has been "out of stock with Ford" for over three months. Finally it had arrived on Friday last week and I made arrangements for it to be fitted. However after looking at the posts on here and seeing the the wiring loom in the garage, I saw the red/yellow wire amongst the group of about ten or fifteen wires and clearly they are easy to fix if they are broken in the joint between the door and the pillar (under the gator). So I took a look at mine and low and behold the red/yellow wire was indeed broken. So I had just enough wire to crimp it and ten mins later, it all works perfectly ok!!! That's all it has taken, one small join and ten minutes. So yours might be the same and that easy - I just used a standard join crimp thingy for car wires which I had in a box in the garage. Job done and
  3. Hi alllllll, Just joined today - found lots of intersting stuff so far about Galaxys. Marvellous!!! So useful. Like : electric windows - dirvers door not working ata ll and passenger door only going down not up (unless you use the passenger switch). A common fault it seems...... And the "jet engine" noise of the aux heater. It always sounds good I reckon!! :-) Nice to know it's ok. Anyway, hopefully I shall enjoy my stay on the forums. HR
  4. Hi there. This is my first post! I found the exact same problem on my mk1 and now my mk2 Galaxy. The symptoms are EXACTLY the same for the front windows (I don't have electric rear windows). It has been reported on here before - I just searched and found it - this may help you: http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.ph...c=7703&st=0 It seems it is a VERY common fault in Galaxy's so it does beg the question as to a: why does this happen and b: why don't Ford do something about it as it is so well known (like provide a free fix or change the design for repairs)? If only, if only...... :) Cheers HR
