  1. That's sounds promising. Hope that's all the problems you have. It's odd that it takes a visiting Ford tech to perform a download and install?...
  2. Yep, mine was 5 months and a day...
  3. The thing is the Mk1 & 2's are based on a, now dated, 10+ year old design...they will look more and more dated.
  4. I had the retractable tow bar factory fitted. I've hooked up a lighting board and their is no repeater lamp on the dash. However the manual does say that stop and turn lamps are monitored. I preferred the warning lamps on my old mk1...
  5. I think I found my problem...I put the locking wheel nut adapter in the drivers under-seat storage bin...it's been rolling back and forth...I said it sounded like a socket, but not left by the manufacturing plant! D'oh!
  6. Hi George. Here is a scan of my 2008 user manual (zip file), Voice control section. Hope it's some help, NickScans.zip
  7. We'll I've still got the noise. I've had a look around inside and had the under-tray off to look around - I can see nothing obviously wrong!? The noise appears to be linked to movement, but can't get it to do it to order. I don't have the optional PS whine (yet!). In fact I can't 'feel' the noise through the steering wheel at all - it's just a noise. Kind of sounds like: clunk/knock/thud/bump. A bit like a large relay making contact, if you know what I mean. There is a post here that says a lack of grease in a bush in the steering column could be the cause, but the descriptions in that thread don
  8. Have to say I'm very pleased with the quality of the Sony head unit. Looking through the manual I can't find any reference to the DSP button. Anyone got a more up-to-date book?
  9. Well now that I have my new car, I'm happy with the stock speakers. They sound just fine right up to max volume.
  10. It would seem fuel ecconomy has been raised on the 2.0 TDCi for some time - check out the treads on the new Mondeo forums.
  11. If you look just above the foot rest you'll see 2 air con pipes. These pipes are not insulated in anyway (design shortfall?) so drips WILL form and you know where they will fall...
  12. Ok, as mum-of-4 suggested I've registered again. The new registration allows me to post. However my original login ID 'nick' still gives 'flood control' errors all the time, and has done so for over a week. Are you guys getting any support from IP Board? Can you keep me posted as to what is happening with this issue please. Thanks Nick
