just to say thanxs to everyone for info, just had alternator checked and it no good,but SAC in cov will recon it for

hello everyone my first post.. i have a 53 2.3 petrol galaxy the dashboard lit up saying something workshop..then lights died then engine . have checked alternator and only getting 11.54 volts from it gather that is not right , can anyone shed some light please and also how the hell do you take it off the car... thanxs
