hello there just replaced my thermostat for the very same reason .....it sorted out the heating 100% .....yes the thermostat is located in the Exit housing from the engine block to the bottom hose of radiator .....bit of a pain to remove but can be done just one of the 10MM bolt heads you have to remove with open ended spanner one of those occasions when it seems to take forever as you only get a quarter turn each attempt ....but stick at it it does eventually remove /install regards rowan

hi all...... my dashboard lights on my 2000 mk2 tdi have packed up including all the backlights in the normally illuminated switches ........ i have checked the fuses they are all good ,and all the exterior lights work ....... anybody got any ideas cos i`m in the dark (pardon the pun)
