thanx for the info will look at sortin a new clutch out and report bac after its done.

I have now been told it might be the clutch,but it onli happens at random times there is not pattern to it. does not seem to matter if cold/hot,steering left/right. onli seems to happen from a stand still.

Anyone got any recomends were to get a new/recon starter motor? Cleaned the 1 i have, worked well for a few days then started to fail again.Seems to be the magnetic bit as the splinny bit seems smooth in movement. thanx 2.0 p reg 5 speed galaxy

no slack on any of the shafts,with wheels on the ground and off,all gaters are ok no rips or signs of wear.

Sori it`s a 2.0 galaxy with a 5 speed box any more info i should be able to get thx

Im getting a real violent vibration when pulling away in first gear and reverse (not all the time), it feels as if the engine is going to fall out. It even continues after you push the clutch down and try again, then stops and is ok for a while. Have checked the engine mounts by putting the hand brake on and trying to move forward and back but no movement to the engine. Have changed the drop links a few months ago and they are fine. The engine roll restrictor has been replaced in the last year. It`s p reg galaxy by the way. any info plz

thanks very much for all the info in this link. Found all the info to hit the nail on the head on all parts,which made the job so much quicker. Took about 45 mins to change both drop links and al the noise has gone which is great. thanks again

thanx for this info.got the central locking to open and close from the fob but the car still wont start with the remote key,it starts with the black 1 and the red 1. any more ideas thx will look elsewhere onn the forum aswell. thx ps when the fob key goes in the red light comes on and starts flashing and starts for about 2 seconds then stops,both black and red start ok

thanx for this info worked a treat on mine.but wont start the engine with the recoded key(locks and unlocks which it did not do b4)but does with the red 1.
