thanks stevie M, i did read up on the aux heater prob's but found nothing about the oil leak from the unit. all i can assume is that as this runs on the fuel from the car it has started to leak from a joint somewhere there. will see what happens eh. Regards phill.

Firstly hi to all. have just recently purchased an 03 1.9 TDI Ghia (11 days) and everything seemed fine untill yesterday when on returning home from an hour journey and parking up, we where surounded by thick parafin smelling smoke. looked under and this was coming out of a very small moped sized pipe. also drips of oil from all over pipes and boxes before pipe, which did not smell of diesel although still under warranty have been told that a glow plug will sort this out.....? now i'm no mechanic, but surely this will not stop the leak. Am pushing for new unit to be fitted. any advice very welcome, thanks phill.
