  1. Just to offer some balance to this. I previously took out breakdown cover with a major player and agreed to go on a rolling credit card payment to get a discount. Then some time later needed to make use of their services (after having not had to use them at all in the first year), only to discover that that had not in fact automatically taken payment as agreed, and had instead discontinued my cover. even after this I would have been quite happy to have paid the renewal fee even backdated to the time it was due. but they were insisting on me paying the full new member fee (much higher). Needless to say I did not renew with them and would never go back to them again. Just goes to show that bigger isn't always better.
  2. Well I don't think I should get involved in that discussion, somebody might accuse me of being biased.
  3. South Essex
  4. Well title says it all really, I've been lurking for a while, and as I now want to download the service checksheet for my vehile I need to get a few more post in, so here I am. My Galaxy is a 51 plate 2.3
  5. Not sure if this will be too late for the original poster or not, but might help someone in th future anyway. I fitted a towbar to my 2.3 Galaxy, it went on really easily. One thing that I did was to get a vehicle specific wiring kit, this made fitting much easier because most of the connections can be made by simply unplugging the connectors on the back of the rear light clusters, and then looping through the wiring kit. On the kit that I had I think that the only thing I had to do was to break into the wiring for the rear fog lamp, so that it could be suppressed when towing.
  6. I haven't had to do this on my galaxy yet, but on previous cars the usual way was to disconnect one of the hoses at it's lowest point.
