  1. Might be worth looking at, but i had the same problem with a mk2 mondeo, and it was the pollen filter casing had split.
  2. First of all,, Welcome mak. Secondly, as im having a few teething probs with mine, i think i can just about beat mums offer and go to
  3. Not sounding good for a new car, but i wonder if ford are using peugeot gearboxes. I ask this becouse i had the same problem with a peugeot 407, having taken it back to the garage many times to be told the usual "no fault found". Eventualy something gave and it was the planetary gears inside the gearbox, 1 broke and that caused my stearing to stick (more often when trying to turn left). This mite not be much help, but its a thought!
  4. Bloody galaxy!! lol Experienced power loss again today, so off i go back to the garage. Codes reset yet again but myself and machanic puzzled as to why this keeps happening. After a lengthy check off all hoses ect.. decided to get a ford specialist out to take a look. He found the problem straight away............ cracked intercooler. Apparently if the intercooler is losing pressure, the engine goes into safe mode but give a boost pressure deviation code, and this is why we couldnt find the problem. Hopefully the problem will be resolved tomorow when i spend
  5. Just perusing the internet today and stumbled upon this garbage. Well worth a read if its possible; http://www.water-4-fuel.com/

Will keep an eye on it tho, just incase.. Many thanks, Graham
  7. Thanks for that steve, just ordered 1. Been back to garage this morning, had another maf sensor fitted (just incase other was faulty), linked to scantool and code read "ecu blocked". Had this reset and car running great now. Many thanks to you and everybody who tried sorting this problem.
  8. Nice 1 cheers steve, il give that a try first thing in the morning and let u know. Just reading other post and you have a ecu reader, was it expensive to buy and where would i get 1? Thanks, graham
  9. Refering to the code " 17958 " p1550 "charge pressure deviation" , the diagnostic machine gave me the same code. I changed the airflow meter as advised but still encountering the same problem, all pipes have been checked and ok. I still at a loss as to whats wrong. I will track this post to see if there is a resolve that i can follow. :P
  10. Thanks for your replies, i will take another look at the airflow meter in the morning. Just curious tho, when it was linked to the diagnostic machine, it said some error code. Could it be that the ecu needs resetting?
  11. Iv followed the advice about searching forums first, but i cannot find any advice for my problem. I recently changed the airflow meter in my 2002 galaxy 19tdi, but when i put my foot down the car seems to lose power. Yet when this happens, if i pull over to the side of the road, turn ignition off then restart, i get power again untill i put my foot down. I know its not a fuel problen becouse if i dip the clutch, the engine will rev ok. Any sugestions would be greatfully recieved. p.s. Happy New Year to all!
  12. Im running a 2002 galaxy 19tdi and been thinking of using biodiesel. has anybody tried this and if so, have you encountered any problems. Iv been told to leave it alone as it will knacker the fuel pump and apparently it will cost
  13. Many thanks for the welcome.
