  1. Yes, I have done it now, as you say with a few of the yellow clips broken, also there seem to be some black brackets at the bottom of the pannel which were less strong than the yellow clips, so these have broken also. Trim won't go back properly now. At least I solved the rattle, nothing more than a screw which was rattling about inside the trim!
  2. I am just about to investiage a constant annoying rattle inside the drivers door. Sounds like a plate of metal is just lying loose inside the door. Any tips for getting the trim off without breaking anything. I have the Ford CD which specifies a special tool!
  3. The fridge is always wired into a circuit which cuts off when the voltage in the battery drops below a certain level because it does draw a lot of current and if you were to stop at a motorway service station for a couple of hours you could find yourself with a flat battery.
  4. JB Agree with your comments. My van is only 1500kg, but still heavier than I am used to. Gal seems to tow very steady and economically. I have used a V8 Discovery before but the performance is not really any better than the Gal and the fuel consumtion of those V8 engines is almost criminal! Regards Eddy
  5. Have just had a tow bar fitted to the back of my Galaxy which has reversing sensors. It is not a detachable one. Now the reversing sensors permanently detect the tow bar which is a pain both from the point of view that they don't work and also they make a horrible noise! I have tried disconnecting the centre sensors, but all this gives is a fault condition and the sensor still does not work and still makes a noise! Any ideas?
  6. In response to the point above - "is the car old enough to have the alarm control module under the seat?". The car is just over 2 years old at the moment, but I will check out where the alarm module is. Does anybody know where the alarm module is mounted on a Jan 2002 Zetec?
  7. As far as I know the car is completely standard. I have only just bought it, but I have no reason to susspect that the alarm is not the standard fitment and it appears to be integrated within the car as one would expect in a factory fitted device.
  8. If I leave my car unlocked and walk away it locks itself and sets the alarm. This appears to be useful, is it supposed to do this. The real problem however is that the alarm goes off all the time. Is there a sensitivity adjustment or something?
